Lack of Pride Goeth Before Risk

Tonight I contemplate something that may damage my reputation with a few friends, or become amazing. I realized that pride had pigeonholed me into defending an idea that doesn't exist. Ego had inflated my sense of importance, as if I needed to protect my identity. Pride ends as an attempt to protect an idea of yourself in lieu of expanding it.
